Fellow professionals, esteemed guests, and distinguished members of the Association of Facilities Management Practitioners, Nigeria (AFMPN).
I stand before you today, humbled and honored to assume the presidency of this noble organization. I am deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in me, and I pledge to work tirelessly to elevate our profession, promote excellence, and drive positive change in our industry.
As we gather here today, we are not just representing ourselves or our organizations; we are representing the hopes, aspirations, and expectations of our nation, Nigeria, and our beloved continent, Africa.
We live in a world where the built environment plays a critical role in shaping our economies, societies, and individual well-being. Facilities management is no longer just about maintaining buildings and infrastructure; it is about creating spaces that inspire, heal, educate, and nurture.
As facilities management professionals, we have a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our communities, our environment, and our economy. We must seize this moment to redefine our profession, to push boundaries, and to drive innovation.
AFMPN Objectives
Represent the interest of all professional facility managers and companies practicing in the industry.
Influence government policies related to infrastructure design, development & management.
Support professional development of members of all cadres.
Conduct surveys and research projects for reliable industry data and become the source and validator for all industry data and information.
Reward excellence in the industry through awards and recognitions.
Be the voice of the Nigerian FM industry through advocacy.
Work with the Nigerian FM Industry regulatory body (when created) to ensure practitioners, companies, developers adhere to standards.
